#3 Bread Twist Ties
Twist ties are the little metal wires with a paper coating that is typically used to close a bag of bread, but also used in a handful of other applications including closing bags for fresh produce, holding wires together (often when cords are new) and a bunch of other uses.
Although small, the twist tie is metal and would be considered scrap metal. Throw it in your scrap bin and over time will help add some weight. If you look at how many you have throw in the trash over your lifetime, that could be a nice payout. Especially if you combine all the other metals that are often discarded as “trash”.
Remembering to add the twist tie into your metal recycling bin is a good practice to train yourself to think outside the box on what can be recycled for money. It all starts with baby steps.
